TSgt Thomas F. Conley enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 1940.  He was assigned to the 92nd Field Artillery.  In Feb. 1942 at Fort Benning and Lawson Field, Georgia, he had a motorcycle accident in the line of duty, not in battle.  A head injury resulted in Tom’s death.  His father was William H. Conley and his mother was Alberta, who later married John Barbagallo. (The name was shortened to Barga near the time WW2 started.)
