The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation Grant

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

The Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park Foundation, Inc has been awarded a $50,000 grant from The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, Inc in Winter Park to assist in its capital fund raising efforts.

“The campaign, like the Foundation board itself, will be volunteer driven. This grant enables us to engage fund raising professionals to guide the campaign committee and to create a communications plan for the $ 3 million campaign in a six county region of Central Florida.” according to Jerry Pierce, President of CFVMPF.

The Veterans Memorial Park will be adjacent to the new VA Medical Center at Lake Nona. It will honor approximately 1,100 veterans from Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties who served in the uniform of our country and made the ultimate sacrifice and never returned. The strength of the VA Medical Center’s role as a care provider will be enhanced by the proximity of the tranquil and meditative environment of the Memorial Park.

” We are honored not only to be a recipient of this grant, but we are also honored by the generosity of our volunteer board members in the contributions they have made toward this grant,” said Pierce.
